As its Fairtrade Fortnight I thought I'd use the opportunity to discuss again the gorgeous Kenana Knitters Samba Shelf Cow.  These beautiful little characters are made by a fair trade womens cooperative in Kenya called Kenana Knitters, started in 1998 with the primary objective to help rural women find a much needed form of income. Utilising their amazing spinning and knitting skills, the group buys in home spun wool produced locally, dying it with traditional natural plant colours all of which are grown in their own garden. What makes the group different is their emphasis on enviromentally friendly and ecologically sustainable materials and processes. Their range of products enable them to support the farming community in Kenya and build secure futures for their families.

Part of the charm of these beautiful toys is that each one is unique with different shades of wool (just like a real flock of sheep!) and knitted by different women within the group, giving each one a diiferent character and appeal.

Each animal has their very own label signed by the knitter, adding that personal touch. We also have a lovely collection of finger puppets in too ... each one completely unique and individual.

Don't know if its the weather or the fact that we have all been ill with killer colds.... but I seem to be rushed right off my size 3 feet!!

I have been meaning to write for ages about a few of my internet purchases! I have been like many out there using the internet more and more to save pennies and have come across some gorgeous bits and pieces.

I recently bought Megan a changing mat and sleepsuit from Kicsi Baby Wear.  They are such lovely quality and my changing mat certainly is the envy of all my friends at nappy changing time. The designs and quality of the items are gorgeous and when ever Megan wears her sleepsuit I just want to snuggle her all up!

I was thrilled to happen upon a very talented mummy Natalie on Mumsclub.  Natalie is the brains and artist behind Precious Parcels she made for me two beautiful plaques for Charlie to hang his equally gorgeous art work on.  One is hanging in our living room the other is wrapped up for my mum's birthday next week. Each one is handmade and delighful I really would reccommend anyone having a look at Precious Parcels, ooo and there's a competition on at the moment!                                                               Precious Parcels
