Sometimes in life things just slot into place.
Charlie Moo’s birthday is in March and Megan’s August so traditionally we have year on year taken them somewhere exciting for Moo’s birthday. a) because its so much cheaper out of season and b) no queing ..
For his 2nd Birthday the four of us went to Longleat Safari Park, 3rd birthday Marwell Zoo so we were up against it this year … where to go for his 4th??? When my lovely friend over at Mumazing gave me a family Press pass to Peppa Pig World. Not only was it for 3 weeks before opening .. it was also for the 26th March. Moo’s birthday is the 27th GET IN!!! So now both my children think I am god who has magic’d them up the best pressie in the world. Moo can’t wait! Megan is in awe of meeting her hero … aww to be 2 again!!
So off we trundled the mammoth 20 minute drive to Paulton’s Park, Megan and Moo totally over excited and Daddy Moo wondering just how high these rides would be, we knew that I probably couldn’t go on half of them …. with bump on board! We meet the lovely Sam (mumazing) and then rapidly became a party of 8.5! 4 adults, 4.5 children ranging from bump to 5 years. The perfect range of testers!!
The first thing you notice on arrival to Peppa Pig World is how amazing the landscaping is! It looks just like the cartoon. All hilly and wonky (although beware those hills have a tendency to grunt and snort at you!! )
We fully tested out every ride, game, area of the park and our verdict was …. SNORT SNORT amazing!!
A few things to remember … take a picnic. We didn’t and the food was quite pricey and limited. M&M did have backpacks with snacks and drinks in which was invaluable as it ended it up being really warm. Spare clothes, we’ve had a map of Peppa Pig World for ages now … picked up in the supermarket. The area titled ‘muddy puddles‘ conjured up images of wet, mud, carnage!! So I packed spare clothes and towels – A MUST!! It’s a mini water park!! We luckily managed to persuade our 4 that they could wait till the end of the day to play in this area!! My only criticism here is that the water area backs straight into Mr. Potatoes Playground meaning you have no real room to redress and dry small people. Which in the height of summer may be an issue.
You can see from my little gallery that M&M had a blast … the scenery is lush and Moo had the best birthday treat ever!!!
