Last month I received one of those emails where you think “ekk scam”. Apparently the following code gave me £120 to spend at Microscooters. Thankfully it wasn't a scam but a lovely early Christmas present organised by my good friend Kara (ChelseaMamma). I was to use my £120 to treat Kara's gang and she had the same value to use on mine. After the stress of loosing our Grandmother and the numerous tantrums and grey hairs (and yes that was just me!) with moving home it was such a lovely treat. I'd hoped that I could persuade Kara to blow the whole lot on a shiny silver adult scooter for me ;) but she beat me into submission insisted we buy something for the children. (For the children … they've had my womb and every penny I've EVER owned or shall do in the future I deserve a scooter right!?)
All 3 Moo's have scooters of varying styles, brands, prices (you can read about our scooter adventures) but none of them had a micro scooter. Olive was desperate for a purple scooter as it's my favourite colour and also the colour associated with Rapunzel (Disney princess colours are crucial when you are 3).
After some mummy discussion it was decided that as Moo wanted a stunt scooter that it was more practical to split the money between Megan and Olive and get them both one. Olive opted for a purple microscooter and Megan an micro sprite in pink. ( I did add £20 of my own cash to cover the short fall)
Kara suggested that as she had a mini microscooter and chair that Sebby Sebby (we love him so much we named him twice) was sorted from hand me downs, Eliza & Kian were happy with theirs it was Isaac who was in need of an upgrade from mini micro to a maxi micro! I know how much he likes to be a trend setter and that one off the shelf would so not be cool so we went with a design your own (insert whoops and ooo's – very posh). Isaac chose his own colours Orange, Green, Yellow and Blue and I used my keen design eye (pahhhahaha) to design him a one of a kind scooter (well until someone else uses the same colour scheme).
We decided to let the children open their new scooters down on Boscombe beach and enjoy some fresh sea air.
I was really surprised by the weight that Megan's micro sprite scooter has its a really sturdy well made scooter. I loved the added little kick stand so that it can stand up by itself (which came in handy whilst taking photos!) Olive was so pleased with her scooter and riding like a pro until Eliza rocked up with her pimped to the max microscooter and suddenly we had tears! So now I need a pony head, a scoot n pull and some scooterearz! Well at least I know what Santa will be bringing this year!
