Unless you have lived under a rock you can't fail to have been a little Pokemon crazy this summer! Charlie even has Nanny and Grandad hooked taking them out on long walks because you Gotta Catch Them All! Those rare ones as so important and then there's the Poke Gyms! *insert confused face*
(This is for photographic purpose a Pokemon Master shouldn't put more than one Pokemon in a poke ball. apparently!)
Tomy has a great selection of Pokemon toys to suit a range of ages. Charlie was sent the Pokemon Clip N' Carry Poke Balls and My Friend Pikachu to put to the test. Being 9 I was a little worried that he'd find them a little babyish but if anything they had the opposite effect. Other than Lego I've not seen a toy capture his imagination in such a long time. He made up games, roping his sisters and the neighbours kids! They have a prime spot on his bookshelf too making them a great ornament for any Pokemon Master!
I liked the Pokemon Clip N' Carry Poke Ball set because you can take them in the car or the train. I love the Poke Balls but I don't like wearing the belt. I don't like dressing up.
I made a game up. Somebody had to swap the Pokemon into a different ball and the other person had to find Pikachu. If they dont find him they try again but if they find him the do it again to see how many they can get. Olive got 3 and she got the highest.
Each set comes with one adjustable belt and two Poké Balls. Each ball contains a figure styles vary. The belt can hold up to 6 poke balls, extra balls are sold separately. If like Charlie your child won't wear the belt it doesn't stop the balls being lots of fun!
I'm so gutted that Charlie got to this before me! I would have adored him! My Friend Pikachu measures 10” high and covered in the snugglest soft yellow fabric. With super adorable red circles on its cheeks he features over 10 fun sounds and phrases! Press Pikachu’s belly to make its ears move, cheeks light up and to hear one of Pikachu’s signature phrases. Although Charlie is 9 he loves Pikachu. I mean what 9 year old wouldn't want to spend 20 minutes pre-bedtime pressing a little yellow dudes tummy …. Pi-ka, pi-ka, Pikachu …. doesn't get annoying. No really!
When I slept in the the tent we used Pikachu as a light because it was dark.
He really is super cute (Pikachu not Charlie, although he has his moments!) If you have a child who would love to unwrap Pikachu this Christmas (sorry I just can't help mentioning the C word!) then look no further as I have one to giveaway! Just fill in the rafflecopter and cross the fingers!
