Over half term it was my birthday *insert happy dance* I was throughly spoilt including a shiny new bike! Exciting! Charlie was beside himself that he insisted he take me out for a quick bike ride. To which Olive replied “can you ride a bike”. Cheers lovely! We made our way towards Moors Valley and then home again, don't tell Charlie but my legs were like jelly! Might take a while to get used to this riding malarkey!
After the mornings excitement I was in need of a large lunch. Luckily we had been invited to try out the newly refurbished Baker's Arms in Poole.

The Baker's Arms in Poole is a traditional country pub with all the classic rural charm and rustic characteristics you'd expect. The Baker's Arms history dates back as far as 1851, totally loving the roaring fires and low ceilings. The atmosphere is lovely and perfect for our Saturday afternoon treat (I have a sneaky suspicion a sunday Lunch here would be immense!). The menu is superb and what's better its just a menu! So often you go out for a meal in a pub now and it's all meal deals and offers all the food mixed up this is in a classic format.
Of course burger boy (AKA Charlie) was all over the premium Wagyu burger, which looked amazing! He proclaimed it to be the best burger ever and that triple cooked chips are the way forward! The girls both had children's meals (under £5 ) which came on massive plates! I was utterly surprised and although you had to pay extra for the drinks the potion size more than made up for this.
Both Daddy Moo and I had steak which is served with an onion and thyme fritter. OMG where have these been all my life! My only criticism was it wasn't big enough ….. seeing as Olive pinched mine!
After feeling throughly stuffed we decided to share a pudding … there were 4 adults in this party and we struggled to nail this 2 person sharing platter which was AMAZING!! We had to call in reinforcements luckily the human dustbin (AKA Charlie) was able to polish off the rest!
I would throughly recommend the Baker's Arms, stunning location, gorgeous venue and amazing food. We were 7 very happy people. I felt the menu was reasonably priced and the staff were delightful – funny, helpful and happy.
