A while ago I received a lovely email from Australia. A lovely mumpreneur who along with her husband have designed & manufactured their very own toothpaste. Jack and Jill toothpaste is 100% safe for young children – especially because they have a tendency to swallow it! Hey I'm 31 and I still occassionally do that ;) All Jack and Jill packaging is designed to be appealing to children. They have just launched a UK website, have been on the trade show circuit and they asked the Moo's to test their super toothpaste. (They just didn't bargain on me taking so bliming long!!)
Charlie Moo & Megan HATE mint toothpaste so we always end up buying 'fruit' flavoured - as now Moo has his adult teeth growing (I know what on earth he just turned 5 and already has 2 adult teeth and another wobbly one! Isn't this suppose to happen at 15??) Charlie has a few issue with bad breath - even straight after brushing his teeth he is still a bit whiffy. At first I thought it was him so we had his teeth checked the dentist who suggested it maybe his tonsils. They were checked too but everything was fine and the smell is possibly due to his diet - he has a super healthy diet. So as he's not ill we decided to play it by ear and wait until it becomes an issue for him. I'm so pleased to say that all 3 munchkins loved the toothpaste we were sent Blackcurrent, Strawberry and Banana - we didn't really have a preference or a favourite as they were all lovely - taste and smell. I WOULD buy the toothpaste in a heartbeat the only issue I have at the moment is the price - £4.99 with £2.50 P&P - we got through a tube in 2 weeks so I would have to bulk order to make it cost effective. I'm guessing once the product is available from all good supermarkets the price will be more competitive. However after using Jack N Jill kids and then returning to our highstreet brand ... there is no real competition.
Alongside the toothpaste they have designed and manufactured the first children’s toothbrushes that are made of cornstarch, and are therefore biodegradable and recyclable. I loved the toothbrushes and I love the fact they are eco-friendly. Moo is quite an aggresive brusher and chews his brush too which lead to a few bristles falling out, but Megan on the other hand is a lot gentler and her brush stayed intact.
We loved Jack N Jill Kids Toothpaste!
The Verdict: 8/10
I would buy this product and I would reccommend to my friends with small children, I was even happy to let Olive use it and she's under 1.
