Linicin Nit Prevention Spray - Review

I don't remember nits being much of a problem as a child, I think I had them once or twice even though I had super long hair. Later on in life when I worked in nurseries they seem to be rife! I didn't ever get them myself but some children had them all the time.  Their parents must have spent a fortune trying to get the blighters out of their hair.  I always used to wash my hair with a drop of tea tree oil as I heard this is a great natural rememdy.

Having 3 children, 2 who are at school and 1 who has no hair - I'm now on the otherside of the fence. Just writing this is making me itch like mad! There's just something about nits which is so unpleasent.  Linicin has some great facts and myths on their website - including the old nits like dirty hair and nits jump from head to head! Ewww! Thankfully this isn't true but just the idea of nits is enough to send any sane parent into a mini pandemic mode. Not long after Moo started primary school in September he told me about a boy who 'had bugs in his hair' ... my insticts were telling me to encourage Moo to sit with someone else!! But my common sense stepped in and I asked how he knew.  Apparently said child was having a hair cut and the hairdresser found them #cringe.

Moo hates hair so he has very short hair which is really wirey, but Megan on the other hand has a crazy mane of ginger, blonde curls and straight hair it's a nightmare to brush and I'm not scared to admit she sometimes has the same 'do' two days running if I've managed to plait it tight enough not to fall out.  It's the only way to avoid screaming sessions.  Luckily Linicin's team asked me to review the prevention spray at just the right time - as I was having a mini panic and I have to say .. fingers crossed we *haven't* had any unwanted visitors.

I should just mention though if you do have to use the shampoo Linicin has a great page full of downloadable activities spanning 15mins to keep the children entertained while they 'set'.

The Verdict: 8/10

I would buy this product and I would reccommend to my friends we haven't had any nits yet :)

our school sent home a bug busting kit in the bookbags on Friday. They want the whole school to nit-comb next Sunday in the hope of controlling the problem. All well and good for those who are bothered about it, but you just know the families who need to do it the most... won't!
