Back when Olive was a baby … I was sent some lovely BabyBeads to review.  Shhh ignore the fact that she is now 13mths old and enjoy the review ....

So what is a Breastfeeding Necklace?

Designed to be worn by the mother whilst breastfeeding it is however suitable for bottle-fed babies.

When Moo was a baby I really enjoyed our breastfeeding experience. But he used to pull my hair, earrings - you name it he'd grab it!! I remember going out with an uber glam friend and feeling very plain and ugly as I wore no accessories and scrapped my hair back. I did actually buy a necklace similar to this when I was feeding Megan .. but the experience was very different intirely. I didn't enjoy it and we didn't really bond very well. As I knew Olive was going to be tiny I was desperate to at least try and feed her for the first few weeks. Luckily the experience was lovely and I only stopped feeding her a few months ago.

We were sent the Little Red Riding hood necklace which is full of pretty shaded of pinks and creams. There are some gorgeous beads within the necklace, which pretty much since the start was highjacked by Megan!

As Olive got bigger she became a bit of a nipper she would pinch the skin around my chest all the time – it was really annoying. The necklace was great as it acted as a great distraction tool and something for her to cling onto. The necklace was great at home as it was always to hand. As it wasn't designed to be worn all the time I generally forgot it when I went out. It's great for children – brightly coloured, tactile and long – everything as a small baby you would desire.

The Verdict: 7/10 

The necklace does exactly what it was designed to do. I would have used it more if it had been more wearable as day wear. However with 2 girls 1 & 3years it is still very much in use. Every little girl needs some bling :)
